Hello !!
Welcome to the GLOBAL VILLAGE PRODUCTIONS WEBSITE
My name is Dr Robert Peprah-Gyamfi, the CEO
Growing up in the little village of Mpintimpi, about 150 kilometres
north of Ghana’s capital, Accra, I made it to medical school in Germany.
Along my life journey, I accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as my saviour; I am thus a soldier of Christ.
I also have a great passion for writing. Indeed, I started writing my first novel at the age of 12. Unfortunately, a lack of resources in the deprived setting where I grew up led me to give up on my maiden manuscript.
In the meantime, I have written over 40 books covering various themes.
Over the last few years, I considered turning some of my titles into films.
In my bid to realize my goal, towards the end of 2023, I sent material from two titles that I thought could make exciting films to various producers worldwide to consider filming them. To my dismay, none of them took the trouble even to write back to acknowledge receipt of the material.
Under the circumstances, I saw only two options: give up on my dream or persist.
I do not want to blow my horns before the world, but giving up easily is not part of my chemistry.
Thus, at the beginning of 2024, I decided to venture into filming some of my stories with the limited resources I had available. So, the concept of the Global Village Production Company was born.
At this stage, the company will concentrate primarily on producing films based on my books.
As the company grows, it will, of course, consider external projects that share its mission and vision—that, among other things, highlight the unequal distribution of wealth among rich and poor countries and the differences between the serene and uncomplicated environment of the little African village I grew up in and the sophisticated one I met in the advanced West.
